Dr. Peter Haenseler, Partner
Founder
Peter Haenseler is the founding partner of PHI and served as the company’s executive chairman till the end of 2010. He is a member of the board of directors and of the management committee. Mr. Haenseler is leading the business strategy and the products department of PHI.
Prior to founding PHI Mr. Haenseler worked with the Marc Rich Group, Zug, Switzerland, in the senior management responsible for the Russian real estate market and the structuring of international real estate transactions. Mr. Haenseler was also a board member of BFW AG, a public real estate company listed at the Swiss stock exchange. Mr. Haenseler started his career as an associate with Baer & Karrer, Zurich, Switzerland. Mr. Haenseler holds a JD and a Ph.D. from Zurich University Law School and an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Zurich bar.
Leonid Chernyak, Partner

Leonid Chernyak joined PHI as a partner in 2004 and serves as the company’s executive chairman. He is a member of the board of directors as well as of the management and projects committees. Mr. Chernyak is leading the project development and sourcing within PHI. Prior to joining PHI Mr. Chernyak was working with Capital Group, one of Russia’s largest developers, as its CFO. Mr. Chernyak started his career with Colgate-Palmolive after finishing his career as a professional chess player. Mr. Chernyak went to business school in Moscow.
Georg Zondler
Non-executive Member
Georg Zondler joined the board of directors of PHI in 2002.
Mr. Zondler is an attorney and a partner of the law firm Wenger & Vieli in Zurich, Switzerland. His practice covers various aspects of Swiss law, in particular banking, commercial, corporate as well as bankruptcy laws, and a considerable part of his work is devoted to litigation and arbitration work in those fields. He is a member of the Zurich, the Swiss and the International Bar Associations. Mr. Zondler has been on the board of PHI since its foundation.
Ernst Bütler
Non-executive Member
Ernst Bütler joined the board of directors of PHI in 2006.
Before Mr. Bütler acted as an independent board member and consultant for various companies, he was a partner with Partners Group, Zug, Switzerland (1999-2005) where he worked until his retirement. Mr. Bütler started his career with the Credit Suisse Group in 1974 where he worked for 25 years. In 1990 Mr. Bütler became Global Head of Multinational Division Switzerland. In 1996 he joint Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) in London as Managing Director and Co-Head Corporate and Investment Banking Switzerland.
Mr. Bütler holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration (Zurich). Further educations include: INSEAD Fontainebleau and MIT Boston as well as various banking trainings in Geneva, Zurich, London and the US.
